BALIKESİR (AA) – Bandırmaspor, one of the Spor Toto 1st League teams, reached a naming sponsorship agreement with Bey Çimento for the 2022-2023 season.
Bandırmaspor Club President Onur Göçmez, Bey Çimento Board President Soner Özbey and executives attended the signing ceremony held in a hotel.
In his speech at the ceremony, Göçmez expressed his hope that the agreement would be beneficial for both parties.
Referring to the issue of Phileppe Keny’s transfer to Beşiktaş, Göçmez stated that they are on duty for the benefit of Bandırmaspor.
Stating that although they accepted Beşiktaş’s offer, official procedures for Keny have not been initiated, Göçmez said, “We told Beşiktaş that if they did not get back to us by July 29, we would revise our squad planning, and they did not get back to us. Afterwards, we learned from social media that Keny’s transfer was on hold. We would have expected them to just pick up the phone and say, ‘I’m sorry.'”
Göçmez stated that the issue was closed for them and said, “We wish success to Beşiktaş. We have other things to do. The only thing we will do as the Bandırmaspor community is to transform Bandırmaspor, which is the city team and an important community in its own right, into a structure that raises young people for Turkish football, adopts success as a philosophy and sets an example for children.”
Göçmez added that such situations will not create any negativity for the Bandırmaspor and Beşiktaş communities.
Following the speech, a sponsorship agreement was signed between the parties.
Bandırmaspor will compete in the Spor Toto 1st League under the name “Bey Çimento Bandırmaspor”.
