Businessman Soner Özbey, who has attracted attention with his investments in the cement sector in recent years , has now rolled up his sleeves to establish two more major cement factories after Aliağa. He sat down at the table with the company that founded the largest cement factory in China in Shanghai. Following the negotiations, an agreement was signed to establish two cement factories in Tekirdağ and İzmir, each with a capacity of 800,000 tons.
Bey Çimento Board Chairman Soner Özbey attracted attention by purchasing 51% of KARÇİMSA operating in Karabük after the cement grinding and packaging factory he established in Bandırma . Later, he continued to make a name for himself in the sector he established in İzmir Aliağa.
100 MILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT
While the economic conditions of the country are obvious, in these days when investments have almost come to a standstill, businessman Soner Özbey, who has signed an investment of over 100 million Dollars, is expected to reach a production capacity of over 3 million tons in the sector with the 2 new factories planned to be put into production in 2025.
NEW GENERATION ‘GREEN CEMENT’ TO BE PRODUCED
Both cement factories to be established in Tekirdağ and İzmir regions with Chinese partners will be within the framework of the Green Deal and will have the latest technology.

Due to the Green Deal signed by many countries in the world, facilities that cause environmental pollution, especially the cement and iron and steel sectors, will complete their production lives in the next few years.
These sectors that cause environmental pollution are now establishing ‘New Generation’ factories and do not leave a carbon footprint. Therefore, they are switching to production with zero pollution and carbon.
